Blue

BLUE - watercolor

I'm feeling a little blue. But it is a beautiful day. I've got some coffee and leftover pizza, things could be worse, yes? I think I overdid this painting. It was feeling so dull to me so I threw some paint at it and felt better! Maybe someday I'll add some more color to my work, other than blue. Yeah, one step at a time.

  1. You can get some pretty neat splatter effects with a toothbrush if you want to try that sometime. Though I've never tried it I understand using salt ( somehow) with watercolors creates a nice textured effect.

    1. Thank you, Alberto. I had forgotten about using salt. I think you sprinkle it on when your work is pretty wet and it creates a crystal effect. I will try the toothbrush too. So cool of you to take the time to comment! Thanks!

  3. That's so funny! I looked at your work the other day but didn't have time to comment. Thank you so much. I was thinking it was a kind of dull thing to paint, so I'm glad I got at least some edginess to it. Your boat guy made me laugh- I like his face. Cheers!
