This is the first watercolor painting I have done in many years. Prior to that I had painted since I could pick up a brush. When I paint I forget myself. My mind feels free and happy! So here is my first effort after far too long an absence. I like to leave a lot of white and keep things loose. I chose glass just to give myself a hard time! What do you think?
Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteCheers Mykal. You are the sweetest.
ReplyDeleteSam: You are pretty sweet yourself.
ReplyDeleteDamn good, I say!
ReplyDeleteThanks Gabriel! I appreciate the feedback!
DeleteI've never tried to paint a glass. It's beautiful. They look so delicate.

Thank you, Alberto. I'm so glad you liked it!
DeleteI love the colors and composition. I look forward to seeing more!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Kim. I appreciate your feedback very much!
ReplyDeleteThat is a very nice painting. I'm sure you hear it often, but I wish I could paint like that. (Which may sound odd coming from someone who draws comic strips... http://fluffyandmervin.com/ but there is a big difference between comic art and fine art.)
ReplyDeleteThanks so very much Debbie. I just looked at your fab work and loved it. I left you a comment. Your feedback means a lot to me. I think all creative work, comic strips, painting, poetry, etc, just lets us view the world in different ways. Though I have always loved painting I have, in the past, gotten pretty self critical. I mean, looking at paintings in a museum I can think, what am I in comparison? But I've finally decided to stop doing that, and just be myself, and be happy with that. Thank you so much again for your thoughtful comment!
